Hundreds of Thousands of Kisses in One
I saw a man dropped his cigarette today. The wind tried to blew it away from him as he tried to chase and pick it up. And then I started wondering if it crossed his mind that the moment he starts puffing from that same stick again, it would be like kissing the floor. Like kissing hundreds of thousands of shoes that stepped on that exact spot. Hundreds of thousands of shoes that have been to hundreds of thousands of places. I wondered if it crossed his mind that once he began to breathe through that wet and dusty filter, has was also kissing hundreds of thousands of memories at the same time.
And then I started wondering, if I was ever one of them - one of those travelers. I wondered if I have become part of him too. For a kiss, no matter where, even at the sole of hundreds of thousands of strangers' shoes, is always shared, and once shared, they become part of one another, the kisser and the kissee.
